Father's Day

Sometimes you just get the best dad in the world!

The Lord's Work, June 22, 2015

Hello Family:) First off, HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!!!! I love you so much, dad. You are my hero/biggest example. I hope to be as great of a man that you are one day. I talked to President Robinson on Sunday because I was feeling a little down on myself. I wanted to be a great man and missionary right now! He gave me wonderful counsel and even referenced the 10,000 rule and Micheal Jordan.  I told him I want to be like my dad, and told him how inspired I was of him. He taught me...to be a man, to be a great man, does not come over night. He taught me about setting goals and self evaluation. It was great counsel, and I really feel myself on the right path. I wrote down what I want to have accomplished on my last day, what I want to become, and how I want others to see me. I really am so excited about setting goals in life. I can see how one can gain great direction and success.

Almost 2 weeks in the MTC now, crazy! I am emailing today because tomorrow morning I leave to Cape Coast! I am very excited to be out doing the Lord's work. I know it will be hard and I have my concerns, but the more I study Christ and his life, the more I am sure that this is where I am supposed to be. I was reading in a book called "Our Heritage" that really gave me perspective on how much was sacrificed of early saints. I feel blessed to do this work. Whenever I hop on the email I forget everything that happened, haha, but this week has been great. Long days, studying, teaching, just wonderful stuff.

This email is out of order so sorry if it doesn't flow well,

My favorite day of the week is Sunday. I love feeling the spirit and I experience it in a way I never have before. I feel my purpose and Savior's love in a way I never have before.

Love you all! Please forward this to others. I haven't figured that out yet. Until next week, when I'm in Cape Coast!:)
